For couples travelling from afar, or simply for those who wish to give themselves and their guests more than a single day of celebration, Romito offers a wedding destination formula: the wedding is celebrated here, among the woods and vineyards of the Oltrepò Pavese, but the experience stretches across an entire weekend.
Romito San Biagio does not currently have accommodation on site: guests can stay nearby, at other beautiful properties — with pools, wineries to visit, each chosen for its own particular charm.
Organising a weekend, not just a day, naturally calls for a little extra care and comfort: that's why we recommend couples rely on the support of a wedding planner, selected among our best suppliers, who can put together the solution best suited to their weekend.

The weekend opens with an informal dinner, at Romito or at the chosen accommodation: the first moment for guests arriving from afar to get to know one another, ease the anticipation and already breathe in the atmosphere of the day to come.

The day is devoted to the couple: free time to get ready, with the option of a hairdresser and make-up artist on site, to experience the morning of the big day without a worry, cared for down to the last detail — before the ceremony and the celebration at Romito.

The weekend closes with a convivial brunch, the last moment all together before saying goodbye — enriched by an activity of choice, sporting, cultural or food-and-wine, to discover the area that framed the wedding.
A few examples of experiences the Oltrepò Pavese area offers, to pair with Sunday brunch.
A bike route, e-bikes available too, through the hills and rows of the Oltrepò: stops at scenic viewpoints and a final toast at the winery.
A walk of about 5 km through the vineyards, followed by a tasting of three Pinot labels paired with Salame di Varzi DOP and cheeses from the Staffora Valley.
A guided walk among the rows and barrels of one of the Oltrepò's historic wineries — such as Terre d'Oltrepò in Casteggio, with its Wine Tower and Wine Museum, or the winery-resort Prime Alture — followed by a short cooking class with local producers.
Fifteen itineraries tell the story of the Oltrepò through its wines: from the Riesling road to the Pinot Nero Valley, all the way to the spas and villages of the Staffora Valley.
A few examples of properties in the area, each just minutes from Romito: we suggest them to couples as a starting point, to then work out together the solution best suited to the group and the number of guests.
On the first hills above Casteggio, just minutes from Romito: an infinity bio-pool with salt water overlooking the vines, a small wellness centre and a panoramic restaurant serving its own wines.
Set in the green of the hills, with a 10x20 metre pool, a family-run restaurant and the farm's entire wine production to discover between one swim and the next.
A small mid-19th-century hamlet, with tastefully and elegantly furnished rooms and a pool looking directly onto the vineyards — perfect for a more intimate, close-knit stay.
Atop a hill, a swimmable freshwater bio-lake with a view spanning the whole Oltrepò: the ideal choice for guests seeking nature and quiet.
The properties listed are representative examples of what the area has to offer: availability should always be checked and agreed together with the couple during planning.
