I grew up and trained in different areas of the fashion and luxury industry. To me, luxury is the simple emotion tied to an object, a place, a scent: the positive energy of someone who loves us, gratitude for an unexpected gesture, time spent happy.

Hervé is the backbone of all this: his hands, his eye, his patience are in every corner of Romito just as much as mine are. We were the first to marry here: many years ago, our wedding at Romito was so special, for us and for our guests, that on that very day an idea was born — to host weddings as incredibly wonderful as our own. So, ten years and three children later, we finally brought our project to life: after a major conservation restoration of the property, in 2020 we opened the doors to our new adventure.

Romito San Biagio is at Via San Biagio 27, 27045 Casteggio (PV), in the Oltrepo Pavese wine hills of Lombardy, northern Italy. It is an ancient Franciscan hermitage set among vineyards and woods, about 300 metres above sea level and 2 km from the Casteggio exit of the A21 Turin-Piacenza-Brescia motorway.
Romito San Biagio is about 45 minutes from Milan (around 50 km), 30 minutes from Pavia and 35 minutes from Piacenza. It is reached from the Casteggio exit of the A21 (2 km) or the Bereguardo exit of the A7 Milan-Genoa motorway (about 30 km), in a central position between Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna.
Romito San Biagio hosts up to 135 guests. This is the maximum capacity, also in case of bad weather, when the celebration moves to the indoor halls and the covered terrace. Intimate weddings with fewer than 40 guests are also welcome.
Yes. Since 2024 Romito San Biagio has been an official separate seat of the Civil Registry of the Municipality of Casteggio ("Casa Comunale"), under an agreement signed on 29 May 2024, so a civil wedding held here is legally valid. The Municipality manages the calendar and paperwork and charges its own ceremony fee. Symbolic ceremonies with a celebrant are also possible.
The party continues until midnight, with the option of Extra Time until 2 AM or later, to be agreed together. Extra Time is a paid service, to be agreed at least 30 days before the event. Daytime celebrations end at 7 PM.
Romito San Biagio is a venue-only rental: it rents its spaces exclusively and does not provide catering, flowers, photography or music. Couples freely choose their caterer and other suppliers and contract them directly. On request Romito suggests trusted suppliers who already know the venue; the couple's own suppliers are welcome too, provided they are insured.
No. Romito San Biagio has a dedicated room for the bride's preparation, but no overnight accommodation: there is no bridal suite and there are no guest rooms. Couples receive a list of nearby places to stay, including farm stays, castles with rooms, boutique hotels and hotels in Casteggio, Voghera, Stradella and the Oltrepo Pavese hills.
Romito San Biagio has a complete rain plan: the Portico with rain covers, the Hall of Mirrors on the ground floor and the Fireplace Hall on the first floor with its covered terrace, both heated and air-conditioned, and the Convent Cellar for the ceremony. Maximum capacity remains 135 guests.
Yes. Romito San Biagio has a private car park between the vineyards and the woods, about 20 metres from the entrance, with a parking attendant when guests arrive.
Yes. Romito San Biagio welcomes couples from abroad, including the USA, with a weekend format: welcome dinner on Friday, wedding on Saturday and Sunday exploring the Oltrepo Pavese with wineries, castles and bike tours through the vineyards. The website is available in English and the suggested suppliers include an English-speaking wedding planner. Civil ceremony paperwork depends on the couple's nationality.

Yes. There is the Children's Orchard with wooden games, a children's table can be set up in the Hall of Mirrors, and the suggested suppliers include children's entertainers.
Yes: Romito San Biagio hosts corporate events, photo shoots, private parties, birthdays and classical music concerts, thanks to the semi-grand piano in the Fireplace Hall.
Romito San Biagio lies in the heart of the Oltrepo Pavese, nestled in the foothills of the Apennines and centrally placed between Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria. A historic residence, beautifully restored, perfect for weddings.
